FEATURES
(continued)>-,
-~The switchers are factory preset for the projector brand of your choice and can easily be reconfigured in the
field for any other compatible brand in a matter of minutes by changing a few dip-switches on the switcher's
communications board .
'OUTPUTS
All outputs from the switcher are in the same format as the selected input. The switcher has separate outputs
for RGB and Sync, Video, S-Video, and Audio, all of which must be run to the projector (if all are actually
being used). Thus, whenever an input is selected, the projector always receives the proper video signal
format from the switcher.
VIDEO LOOP BACK {VLB)
This unique feature allows the switcher to integrate with either composite-to-RGB decoders or scan doublers .
When the feature is enabled, the Composite or S-Video output of the switcher can be routed through a
de~oder or scan doubler and back into the switcher (input No.8 for System 8 or input No.IO for System 10)
,a~_arlJlGB input. The benefits of this feature include having to use only one decoder or scan doubler for all
-th~ v:i4eo inputs rather than using one unit for each video source.
300 MHz BANDWIDTH
The highest bandwidth ever offered in a video/data switcher allows any and all signals to be passed through
with no loss of resolution. This wide bandwidth is extremely important when using high resolution com-
puter workstations such ~s Sun, Silicon Graphics, Apollo, and others.
SWITCHER CONTROL
Each channel of the switcher can be controlled in any one of the following ways:
Front Panel Buttons. Professional quality backlit push buttons that can be removed to label each input
source.
Remote Control Connector. Contact closure remote control connector for hard~wired remote control
with tally indication .
RS-232 Control Connector. Provides for computer control of switcher or use of 3rd party remote
control system .
Infrared Remote. Projector IR (or hard-wired) remote will control switcher via projector. Use the
remote control included with your projector
(IR
or hard-wired) to control Extron system switchers.
