The output of the "Primary", in turn, is routed to the projector or display monitor. The maximum number • of inputs available in the star configuration is 100 when using all System IO switchers (80 when using all System 8 switchers). The star connection scheme is somewhat more complicated to configure but provides maximum video bandwidth since the video signal is only routed through two switchers.
TWO SWITCHERS 'tOOPING INSTRUCTIONS Two System 8 or System 10 switchers can be looped (connected) together for video switching systems that rquite more than 8 or 10 inputs. Any two switchers can be looped, but one of the switchers must be configured as a "primary"...

. If you plan to use your System 8/10 as a stand alone switcher (i.e., not connected to a projector), it should be configured as an Arnpro. The Arnpro configuration provides the fastest switching speed for all of your stand alone applications.
Reinstall switcher top cover; reinstall and tighten six No.6 Phillips screws. Configure the System 8/10 as a primary switcher by setting the ADDRESS switch on the rear panel as shown in Fig 6-4, page 6-3. If multiple switchers are being used, refer to Section 5 switch settings.
