Connection
To' configure GE/ NEC projectors, do this:
Step 1:
Remove System 8/ 10 top cover (pg. 6- 1 4). See Fig 6- 1 1; locate the projector RS-232
communications board; set switches and jumpers as listed in table below.

Reinstall System 8/10 top cover.
Step 3:
Configure the System 8/ l O switcher as a Primary switcher by setting the address switch
as shown in Fig 6-4, page 6- 3 .
Step I:
Turn System 8/10 and projector power OFF.
Step 2:
Connect the Comm Adapter 15-pin male HD connector to the 15-pin female HD "RE­
MOTE" connector on the front panel of the projector.
Step 3:
Connect the CC-50' (or CC- 1 00') cable from the 9-pin female connector of the Comm
Adapter to the 15-pin HD "PROJECTOR CONTROL" port located on the rear panel of
the System 8/10. [Note: If you wish to make your own communications cable (up to 200
feet in length) , follow the pin-to-pin wiring shpwn in Fig 6-3.]

GE/NEC

Extron system switchers will only switch RGBS type signals to the
GE and NEC projectors. Do not use Extron system switchers to

switch S-Video or Composite Video signals, unless you are using a

video-to-RGB decoder, or a line doubler along with Video Loop
Back.

During projector setup, you must confirm the signal entry
by pressing "Adjust", then selecting " 1 " on the projector
remote control, refer GE / NEC projector manual.
