9 Maintenance

General Notes

The lifting device may only be installed, maintained and repaired by qualified specialists and mechanics. See chapter 1.8

Vacuum pump

Risk of injury due to system maintenance by untrained personnel
Serious injury may result.
The system may be maintained only by trained personnel who have read and
understood the operating and maintenance instructions.
Risk of injury from worn, unmaintained parts
Worn and unmaintained parts can cause damage, resulting in failure of the lifting
device and potentially causing severe injury.
Observe the operating, maintenance and servicing requirements specified in these
operating and maintenance instructions.
Burn hazard
The gasoline motor and the vacuum pump become very hot during operation.
Before doing any work on the lifting device, allow it to cool off.
V-belt drive
Risk of injury when lifting device is open
Do not reach into the lifting device while the motor is running.
Short-circuit of the starter battery
Electric shock
Disconnect the starter battery before doing any work on the lifting device.
