STORAGE
7 Storage
CAUTION
See chapter 7.1.
ATTENTION
Recommended storage for elastomer parts
The effects of ozone, light (especially UV), heat, oxygen, humidity as well as mechanical influences can
reduce the service life of rubber products. Rubber parts should therefore be stored in a cool place (0° C to +
15° C, max. 25° C) that is dark, dry, low in dust and offers protection from the weather, ozone and drafts.
They should also be free of tension (e.g. stacked appropriately to avoid deformation).
Make sure that there is no condensation inside the reservoir. Drain condensation if necessary (see chapter
9.9).
Parking the lifting device
Setting down the lifting device briefly in the off state is referred to as 'parking'.
There are three ways to do this:
1. Leaving the lifting device hanging:
Hang the lifting device in a safe position on the transportation or lifting device.
WARNING
2. Setting the lifting device down without the suction plate:
1.
Remove the suction plate (see chapter 5.4).
2.
Set the lifting device down on a level surface.
3. Setting the lifting device down on the (optional) parking feet:
The lifting device is optionally available with parking feet. These allow the lifting device to be
set down with the suction plate installed (see chapter 7.2).
42
Accident hazard if used by unauthorized persons
►
Ensure that the lifting device is stored where it cannot be accessed by
unauthorized persons.
Suction cup damage
Suction cups may become deformed, age prematurely and fall out.
►
Store the suction cups according to the storage recommendations for elastomer
parts.
Risk of injury from falling parts
►
Ensure that the transportation or lifting device is inaccessible to unauthorized
persons.
►
The area underneath the hanging lifting device must be blocked off.
