5.6. Calibrate your Nuvation Energy BMS

Before you start regular operation of your Nuvation Energy BMS, it is recommended that you
calibrate it for accurate usable capacity measurements. This calibration should be re-done if the Low-
Voltage BMS module or the current shunt is changed in the future.
1. Refer to Section 7.9

2. Fully charge up the batteries to 100% State-of-Charge (as defined in the configuration file)
3. Discharge the batteries to 0% State-of-Charge (as defined in the configuration file)
4. Optionally, charge the batteries back up to 100% State-of-Charge

A power cycle during the State-of-Charge calibration steps will require the State-of-
Charge calibration to be redone from the beginning.
