USING THE FLASH

Select the flash mode according to the shooting conditions.

Turn on the LCD monitor in the Record mode, and press
the bottom arrow on the Jog dial to select
• When the LCD monitor is off, press the OK button and look at
the control panel. Use the Jog dial to make a selection.

Press the right/left arrows on the Jog dial to select
(Auto-Flash/p. 104),
(Red-Eye Reducing Flash/p. 106),
(Fill-In Flash/p. 108) or
(Off/p. 110).
• The selected flash mode (except Auto-Flash) appears on the
control panel.
Flash Working Range: Approx. 0.2 ~ 4.4 m
Note:
• The flash is being charged while the Green lamp is blinking.
Wait until the Green lamp goes off to take the picture.
• The flash may not have the proper effect when used in the
Macro mode. Confirm the result using the LCD monitor.
• The selected flash mode will remain even after a picture is
taken. When the lens barrier is closed, the Fill-In and Off
modes will return to Auto-Flash.
• The flash cannot be used in the Sequence mode.
