SM-DIN Sensor Connection
SM-DIN modules
Concerning all electrical systems, it is a suggested rule to ensure that the ground cable
(GND) is connected to the device support.

As described on chapter 1, the SMART KNIT can manage up to 800 IS3 sensors,
connected through SM-DIN interface modules (up to 8). Each module can manage
up to 100 sensors distributed along 4 backbone lines.
The SM-DIN modules communicate with SMART KNIT terminal via RS485 serial
line.
