S530 Diagnostic Manual
There are three diagnostic tests and each represents specific diagnostic tests for the supported
instruments:
1. Diag_SMU
2. Diag_Matrix
3. Diag_CVU
The UploadToFTP module is a special module that allows you to automatically upload the diagnostic
reports to a server or network drive.
All diagnostic tests have a GUI that allows you (in engineer mode) to select or deselect items to
diagnose. The diagnostic project can also be run using the last saved settings.

Hardware configuration

The diagnostic project in ACS supports S530 systems that consist of Series 2600A instruments,
Model 2410 SMUs, and Model 7174 or 7072-HV matrix cards in the Models 707B or 708B switch
matrix mainframe.
The diagnostic project supports four types of S530 hardware configurations: high-voltage in either 2W
(non-Kelvin) or 4W (Kelvin) mode, or low-current in either 2W or 4W mode.
The S530 high-voltage system uses the Model 7072-HV matrix cards, while the S530 low-current
system uses the Model 7174 matrix cards. The diagnostic software handles the system differences
automatically.

Running the diagnostic tests

Load the default diagnostic project

1. From the main ACS window, select File->Load Project. This will open the Load a Project dialog
box.
