Step 4 Turn off the battery switch of the faulty UPS. If there are multiple battery strings,
turn off the general switch between battery strings and the UPS and then the
switch for each battery string.
Step 5 Turn off the mains and bypass input switches on the input PDC or the upstream
power distribution switch of the faulty UPS.
Step 6 The faulty UPS is isolated from the parallel system. Perform maintenance on the
UPS.

8.5 Restoring an Isolated UPS in a Parallel System

Procedure
Step 1 Turn on the external mains and bypass input power distribution switches for the
isolated UPS. If there is an upstream power distribution switch, turn on it first.
Step 2 After the system is powered on, initialized, and configured, the LCD of the UPS
displays No power supplied and No battery alarms. No other alarms are
generated.
Step 3 If no alarm is displayed on the LCD, use a multimeter to measure the input
voltage. If there is an external output power distribution switch, turn on the
switch.
Step 4 Start the inverter on the UPS by referring to
UPS. All UPSs in the parallel system work in inverter mode, and the isolated UPS is
restored in the parallel system.
Step 5 Turn on the battery input switch for the UPS (If there are multiple battery strings,
turn on the switch for each battery string and then the general switch between
battery strings and the UPS) and check that the No battery alarm has
disappeared from the LCD.
Step 6 Check that the UPS runs properly and no alarm is generated on the LCD.

After a UPS is isolated, you do not need to synchronize parameters if you have not modified
parallel parameters of the UPS.
