How to mount the electronics in the fitting
If the electronics are to be mounted on the door surface, mount the electronics in the fitting. Please note
the following:
· Use the installation example as a reference "4.5.2 Installation in the fitting", page 93.
· The cylinder projection must be at least 18.5 mm and no more than 26.5 mm from the mounting base.
If the distance is smaller, the cylinder does not reach the cylinder opening of the fitting cover. If the
distance is greater, you cannot attach the fitting cover cleanly or at all.
· Fasten the fitting cover with 1 screw.
· If the distance between the fitting and the cylinder is greater than 0.5 m, use a connector plug and an
extension cable to connect the fitting to the cylinder, see "4.4 Extending the cable", page 90.

4.4 Extending the cable

Note!
If you damage the cable on the cylinder by peeling, tearing or pinching, the cylinder becomes unusable
because the cable cannot be replaced.
The warranty entitlement expires.
· Do not use a hammer or other striking tools.
· Never use force when separating or joining materials.
· If the cable on the cylinder is damaged, return the cylinder to ASSA ABLOY (Schweiz) AG.
