7.2.2 KESO Genie EX-BS
How to remove the batteries
1 To access the battery compartment, remove the screws from the face plate or fitting.
 The electronics are now exposed.
2 Optional: Remove the bracket clamp on the battery compartment.
3 Remove the battery pack.
How to insert the batteries
Danger!
Explosion due to sparking in the electronics
Risk of death or serious injury
· Only use the battery pack defined in 3.1.2 KESO Genie EX-BS for the KESO Genie EX-BS, Seite 13.
Impor tant!
Risk of material damage due to incorrect insertion of the batteries
If batteries are inserted incorrectly, you may damage the knob electronics.
· Pay attention to polarisation when inserting the batteries.
1 Insert the new batteries into the battery compartment.
2 Optional: Refit the bracket clamp.
 The KESO Genie BS is ready for use again.

Explosion due to sparking in PPGV2
Risk of death or serious injury
· Do not program the KESO Genie EX-BS in a potentially explosive area.
· Remove the KESO Genie EX-BS and program it in a non-explosive area.
If the battery supply is interrupted for more than 90 seconds during a battery change, reset the clock via
the k-entry ® management software or with the PPGV2. The stored authorisation and event data will not be
lost during a battery change.
