• Please make sure that no base sheet is stuck to the blanket cylinder; if it is, remove
the base sheet.
• Clamp the grid sheet in place
• Guide the leading edge of the grid sheet into the clamping bar (Fig. 5). Make
sure that the grid sheet is positioned correctly in the clamping bar. Make sure
that the coating plate rests against both register pins by means of a visual check.
• Press the "Positioning" button. The clamping bar closes. The machine rings.
• Press the "Positioning" button again. The coating cylinder rotates into the clamping
position for the trailing edge of the coating plate.
• Open the clamp on the trailing edge.
• Swivel the positioning aid with the locking pin down with an open-end spanner
(Fig. 6).
• Press the "Release/clamp plate" button (Fig. 7). The clamping bar closes.
• Swivel the positioning aid with the locking pin up into the initial position.
• Remove the coating roller before the start of production. The corresponding procedure
is explained in the instructions for your printing press.
• Note! Check the correct fit of the grid sheet in the clamping bar (Fig. 8)! The grid
sheet must rest in the clamping bar at least up to the printed mark.
