3.1.4 TU81—Plus Tape Drive
The TU81—Plus tape drive provides 140 Mbytes of storage (in high-density
mode) for backup of data. The drive is mounted in the top of an auxiliary
cabinet, as shown in Figure 3-13.

3.1.4.1 Controls and Indicators
Controls and indicators on the TU81—Plus control panel are grouped by
function into service, operator, and maintenance use. The left part of the
control panel provides special-purpose switches, connectors, and indicators
for the use of DIGITAL service representatives. Part of the service control
panel is behind a small hinged door. Figure 3-13 shows the operator and
maintenance portions of the control panel.
