1.1.1.1 Mass Storage Shelf
The mass storage shelf extends across the top of the enclosure. The shelf
contains a TK70 tape drive and, optionally, one or two RA70 fixed-disk
drives. If present, the RA70 drives are behind the control panel, as shown
in Figure 1-11.

The control panel has several buttons and indicator lights for each of the two
drives. Chapter 3 describes how to use the control panel. If your system has
no RA70 drives, the control panel indicators do not light when you turn on
your system.
Below the control panel is the system DC OK light. When lit, the green DC
OK light indicates that the do voltages are within the correct operating range.
When unlit, there is a problem with one of the power supplies. Chapter 3
describes how to check the DC OK light on each power supply to determine
which power supply has failed.
To the left of the DC OK light is the Halt button. The Halt button is a
two-position button. When you press in the button, the system halts and
the console mode prompt »> appears on the console terminal screen. Before
