Cloning the Fax Business Controller

Multiple Controllers can be programmed to operate identically by using a method called
"Cloning". One Controller is programmed (referred to as the Master) and then connected
to a second Controller that you wish to program, using a standard RJ11 cable (8380-036).
The Cloning method can only be used with Controllers of the same Revision.
The illustration below explains the configuration that is needed to use the Cloning feature.

the Slave FBC must be open.

When the clone is complete, the Slave FBC LED will turn solid red and the Master
FBC will flash green. If the clone failed, then the Slave FBC LED will turn solid
red and the Master FBC will flash red. To retry a failed cloning attempt, simply
power down the Slave FBC, and then reapply power to the unit.
Another cloning session may be started once the Slave FBC LED is solid red.
Remove the Slave FBC that was successfully cloned, and replace it with a new
Slave FBC. This process may be continued as many times as desired.
The only way that the Master FBC can exit Clone Master Mode is to power down
the unit.
