Programmable Tone Detector
Example:
Enhanced Network Security Token
Access Number for Carrier Telephone Network
8380-377-115-NQ
Issue 1, January 1997
The tone detector provides center frequency selection with an approximate 7 percent
window of frequency detection granularity around the center frequency. The 4XY token
must be used before the # AB token in order to initiate the programmable detector.
4XY
Selects the frequency for the programmable detector.
# AB
Selects the programmable tone detector (for AB values, see page 38.)

Through connect
When the token 5XNN is encountered in the ACS, the Controller disconnects the
Exchange Line side and starts a timer. During the predetermined duration of the timer
(see values below), the Controller will wait for incoming ringing. Once the ringing is
detected, the remaining ACS tokens are executed. If the timer expires due to no incoming
ringing being detected, the Controller will provide the subscriber with reorder tone. While
the timer is activated, the Controller can provide a 400Hz tone back to the subscriber side
at a 1 second on and 7 seconds off cycle, until the incoming ringing is detected or the
timer is expired (see values below).
Token
X = 0 no audible tone heard by the subscriber side
5XNN
X = 1 audible tone heard by the subscriber side
NN = 00-99 "wait for ringing" seconds
When programmed, this access number will be output on calls routed as a Carrier
connection that requires an access number to be dialled out before allowing access. This
Register is dialled out by using the "3" ACS token. The Default value for all Routes is
blank. This entry can be a maximum of 80 digits and can be done as follows:
Register
1 for Route 0
2 for Route 1
6r1 XX
3 for Route 2
4 for Route 3
Note that this register should end with a ##, which indicates that the string is finished.
