Before getting started

• Read chapter 'Safety' from page EN-5
and observe all the safety notices.
• Set up and connect the appliance as de-
scribed from page EN-34.
• Thoroughly clean the oven as described
from page EN-36.
• You have set the time as described on
page EN-16.
Starting, interrupting,
continuing and ending
CAUTION!
Risk of burns!
Elements, sides, baking trays, etc. get
very hot during operation.
Accessible parts may become hot
during use. Keep small children away.
Avoid direct contact.
Only touch the oven door by the han-
dle.
Hot steam can flow from the extrac-
tion hood when the oven is in use.
Take care when opening the oven
door!
CAUTION!
Fire hazard!
Never leave the oven unattended
while grilling!
Fatty foods can catch fire.
Do not cover cakes or roasts with bak-
ing paper during cooking.
Do not allow food, baking parchment
and aluminium foil to come into con-
tact with the heating elements.
Do not store temperature-sensitive,
combustible or flammable objects in
the oven.
Do not leave the oven unattended
while cooking food in oil and grease
or with alcohol. The foods may ignite.
You have selected the function and config-
ured the other settings. In order to
• start/continue the operation, tap the
sensor (2).
The lighting will switch on; the oven will
heat up. Up to eight bars below the tem-
perature display show the progress of the
heating process.
• interrupt the operation,
– tap on the
sensor (2) once again.
The temperature display will flash to in-
dicate that the oven is no longer heating
(up).
– open the oven door. After closing the
oven door, the heating process must be
continued with the
• to end the operation,

The oven is now in stand-by mode and
is no longer heating.
– you don't have to do anything if a cook-
ing time was set. In this case, the heat-
ing process will end automatically. You
will hear 5 signal tones and the displays
will show End.
Function, temperature and cooking
time can be changed at any time dur-
ing the cooking process (except of automat-
ic programmes). The change will take eff ect
approx. 6 seconds after the last sensor op-
eration.
