Rescanning Disk Drives

To rescan the drives connected to the controller:
1 At the BIOS prompt, press Ctrl+A.
2 From the ARC menu, select Array Configuration Utility.
3 Select Rescan Drives.

Using SATASelect

SATASelect enables you to change device and controller settings
without opening the computer cabinet or handling the card. With
this utility, you can modify the Channel Interface Definitions and
Device Configuration Options.
To access the SATASelect:
1 When you turn on or restart your system, press Ctrl+A to access
the ARC utility when you see the following message:
Press <Ctrl><A> for Adaptec RAID Configuration Utility
2 If multiple controllers are installed, select the controller you
want to configure and then press Enter.
3 From the ARC menu, select SATASelect Utility.
The SATA Configuration and Controller Configuration menu
options are displayed.
To select a SATASelect menu option, browse with the arrow keys
to the option and then press Enter. In some cases, selecting an
option displays another menu. You can return to the previous
menu at any time by pressing Esc.
To restore the original SATASelect default values, press F6 from
the Configure/View Host Adapter Settings screen.
SATA Configuration Options:
I
Write Cache (Default: Enabled)—When Enabled, write
I
cache is enabled, providing maximum performance.

Caution: When Enabled, there is a potential for data
loss or corruption during a power failure.
