5 Check that 'No Trouble' is displayed in the Results window
to confirm no errors have been detected. If not then refer to
"What to Do if the Test Fails"
6 Press <Single Error> button and check that the Errors Led
flashes red and some errors accumulate on the Results -
Trouble Scan window. Then press the <Run/Stop> key to
stop gating.
7 For units with OTN option, continue with
proceed to
8 Change the Transmitter Settings Signal Mode to SONET,
Signal Rate to OC-192.
The receiver will automatically set to the same signal rate as the
NO TE
transmitter as Tx > Rx Coupling is On. The graphical display on lower
window indicates the overall set-up of transmitter & receiver. Coupling
status is shown in left lower corner.
9 Check that the laser LED is illuminated at the 9.95/10.71
Gb/s output port on the OmniBER OTN's connector panel.

page and set the Laser to OFF.
