It is mandatory in any HCC2 Alu installation to connect a water drainage hose to the unit,
cause the extract air humidity will condensate to water drops when cooled in the heat ex-
changer
This water is harmful to its surrounding if not managed correctly. The drainage hose must be
guided downwards with a decline of minimum10 Promille (1 cm/meter) from the unit at all
times, and the hose must NEVER exceed the level of the lower sheet metal plate. See more at
page 12.
After routing the hose downwards to a sever, it needs a closing loop. This will block air from
escaping through the hose. Please make either a complete closed loop, or a siphon loop on
the hose as illustrated, and make sure its minimum 100 mm. high:
Pour in minimum 0,5 L water into the water siphon initial, to block air flow before installing
the hose onto the unit.
