3.10 Slope conditions

The working area's incline can be expressed
in various ways. The table 4 below sets out
the relationship between the different ways of
expressing slopes as a percentage, height-length-
ratio and in degrees.

3.11 New loop signal

The PIN code in Automower
GARDENA R40Li, R70Li is simply an anti-theft
function to prevent unauthorized people from
using the mower. It does not affect the loop signal
in any way, which the PIN code in Husqvarna G2
models does.
In rare cases, there may be a reason to change
the loop signal, for example, if two nearby
installations have the same loop signal, thereby
interfering with each other. An option exists to
generate a randomly selected new loop signal via
the menu New loop signal.
Changing loop signal also needs to be carried
out every time the robotic lawnmower is placed in
another charging station. Bear in mind that a new
loop signal also has to be generated when the
mower returns to its ordinary charging station, for
example after service if another charging station
other than the customer's has been used. See
"3.7 One robotic lawnmower for several working
areas" on page 33.

3.12 Reusing existing Automower
G2 installation
In small installations using the Husqvarna robotic
lawnmower Automower
230 ACX, it may be an idea to switch to Automower
305, 308 or GARDENA R40Li, R70Li. The following
should then be considered:

uneven lawn.

steep gradients (see table below).

enable it to deal with more complex gardens.

alongside fixed obstacles.

around the charging station.

same area.

In other words, it is not necessarily the case that
Automower 305, 308 or GARDENA R40Li, R70Li will

be able to deliver a satisfactory mowing result and
trouble-free operation simply because Automower
has previously done so in the same installation.
Automower 305, 308 and GARDENA R40Li, R70Li
®
delivers a very good mowing result when it is installed
correctly and in a working area for which the mower is
intended.
In addition to the above points, it should also be taken
into account that the boundary wire should be installed
at another distance from the outer edge of the working
area and obstacles in order to minimise the need for
manual edge trimming. See table below.
