3.5.2 Test in
Use the Home operation selection to test that the
robotic lawnmower can dock with the charging
station in a safe manner.
Note: Calibrate guide must be performed before
Test in. See "3.6 Calibrate guide" on page 33.
1. Place the robotic lawnmower about
3 metres from the guide wire, close to the
guide wire connection to the boundary
wire. Point the robotic lawnmower toward
the guide wire.
2. Press the operation mode button and
select the operation mode Home.
3. Check that the lawnmower can follow
the guide wire, turn around in front of
the charging station and dock with the
charging station.
If problems arise in connection with this test, see
"6.2.4 Symptoms during docking" on page 80.

3.6 Calibrate guide

To determine the signal strength at various
distances from the guide wire in the actual
installation, the robotic lawnmower performs a
calibration in some situations. The calibration is
performed automatically on the following occasions.

3.7 One robotic lawnmower for
several working areas
The robotic lawnmower can be connected to more
than one installation, which allows a mower to be
used in several working areas.
The mower is used as usual for the first working
area. To be able to start using the mower in the
next working area the mower must be placed in the
charging station in the new working area and a new
loop signal created. This is done using the New loop
signal function.
This procedure must be carried out each time the
mower changes charging station, even when it is
moved back to its original charging station. The
reason is that the loop signal that is generated via
New loop signal is randomly selected and different
every time.
The first time a new robotic lawnmower
leaves the charging station.
