4.4 Install Audio Driver (For Realtek ALC883/ 5.1CH)
After the installation procedure by
following Section 4.3, you need to go on
this section in order to support 5.1 CH.
Note: The installation procedures and
screen shots in this section are
based on Windows XP operation
system. For 5.1 CH's supporting,
the function of MIC in and Line in
will not workable. To enable Mic in
and Line in, please DO NOT install
5.1 CH Audio driver.
Step 1. Locate 「\Driver_Audio\Realtek\
ALC883\Windows XP\」and copy 3 files:
HDACfg.dat, HDACfg.txt, rtkhdaud.dat .
Step 2. Locate
「\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\」and
paste 3 files under this folder .

Step 3. Launch the Audio setting interface
and then You can enable 5.1CH by
choosing 6CH Speaker from it.
