FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

Inspect fire extinguishers monthly to ensure
operation in emergency situations.
On extinguishers with a pressure gauge, the needle
should be in the green or NORMAL range. Refill or
replace extinguisher if pressure is below normal;
Check that seal on handle is intact;
Check that hose nozzle is in good condition and the
nozzle is free of obstructions;
Keep fire extinguishers clean.

PRIMARY FUEL FILTER

A primary fuel filter is installed on the engine. This
filter may consist of a filter cartridge with a drain
valve at the bottom, or a filter cartridge, a water
separation bowl and may have a fuel heater built in. It
is used to prevent water from entering the fuel
system. The primary fuel filter should be drained
periodically or when the telltale light on the
dashboard illuminates if equipped with this system.
To drain water, loosen the drain valve below the
separator. Close the drain valve when finished.
