The batteries are housed and secured on the engine
R.H. side deck. The battery posts and connections
are protected by a watertight cover. The cover is
fitted with a built-in vent. The cover can be unlocked
and then removed with the use of the same type of
hardware that allows opening and closing of the rear
fender.
