ECP Manager will now lose connection, because the IP Address of the RM we set up in ECP Manager is still
192.168.4.17, while the IP Address of the RM itself has changed to these new settings.
Now connect your RM unit to your network, using the Ethernet Uplink Port and/or SFP Fiber uplink port.
Connect your PC/Laptop to the same network, changing your adapter settings if necessary.
Once we are able to ping to the new IP Address of the RM unit with your PC/Laptop,
we have to change the IP Address of the RM unit we set up earlier to configure to the new IP Address.
Go into 'ECP Config' and select the tab 'ECP Configuration'. Select the RM unit we added earlier by clicking on it
and update the IP Address to the new one:
Once having changed the IP Address, click 'Modify' to execute the change and to monitor the new IP Address.
In the 'General' Page, the RM will now show up online again:
Important to note, is that all configuration changes of the RM units are first written to the system RAM.
This means that, if these settings are not saved (copied to ROM), the
old settings will be reverted
when the
system is rebooted or loses power!
To permanently save the new IP Address (and any other setting changes), even after reboot,
Click the 'Save' button on the respective RM unit in the 'General' page:
This will copy the configuration of the RM unit to the ROM, saving it permanently.
Do this for every configuration change!
