Additive Mix
Unlike a conventional chroma key operation, this combines the foreground
unaltered (without any application of the key signal) with the background cut
out by the key signal. In practice it is necessary to replace the blue
background of the foreground signal by black, and therefore the color cancel
function is also used.
This additive mix is effective to provide a realistic combined image when it
includes translucent objects such as objects made of glass. Since, however,
the key signal is not applied to the foreground, any variations in the blue
background show up in the combined image. Note this point carefully,
therefore, when using the additive mix function.
To use the additive mix function, use the following procedure.
