Carrying out spot color adjustment for the foreground
In addition to overall video adjustments (luminance, hue and so forth) of the
foreground and background, it is possible to make video adjustments for a
portion of a specified color within the foreground. This allows the color (for
example red) of a specified portion within the foreground to be changed to a
different color (for example yellow), without adversely affecting portions of
other colors.
To carry out spot color adjustment, use the following procedure.
1
In the chroma key main menu, select F5 (VIDEO).
A submenu (level 1) appears.
2
Select F3 (SPOT).
A submenu (level 2) (the SPOT menu) appears.
Note
It is possible to make video adjustments for the whole foreground and for
the whole background. In these cases, select F2 (FRGD) or F4 (BKGD),
and adjust the parameters as required. However, background video
adjustment can be made only when clean chroma key is selected.
3
Select one of F2 to F6.
• F2 (CCR): Toggle the spot color adjustment function on and off.
When on, the control knobs for F3 to F5 adjust the color.
• F3 (AUTO): Surround the portion to be adjusted using the sample
frame, and adjust the key signal automatically.
• F4 (KEYADJ): Adjust the key signal indicating the color to be
adjusted, using the control knobs.
• F5 (WINDOW): Determine the width of the key signal.
• F6 (MASK): Use masking to determine the area to which the spot
color adjustment applies. It is possible to use a box waveform, wipe
pattern or signal on the utility bus as the mask source.
Depending on the item selected, an appropriate submenu appears.
4
Adjust the parameters as necessary.
