Do NOT shut off air to inlet for extended periods of time. This can cause motor to overheat
and shut off!

Filter Pulse Bar Cleaning

Internal Rapid Pulse Filter Cleaner™ System helps to
keep the ow continuous and remove the clogging of
the lter. If air ow is not restored, check for clogs
and clean lter. (Review Cleaning the Filter and
Troubleshooting Sections)
1. Clean your lter a er every 30 minutes of use -more
o en for heavy use. Frequent pulse cleaning of the lter
will keep your performance optimal.
2. While the unit is running, rotate the Inlet Lever upward
to close o the inlet. While continuing to hold the
Inlet Lever upward, quickly push down the Pulse Bar
extending out of the cowling, pass the initial resistance,
and hold for a few seconds then release the Pulse Bar.
3. Dispose of waste safely and properly.

Cleaning the Filter
Proper lter cleaning should not be neglected as a
dirty lter can signi cantly a ect your dust collector's
performance and the overall lifespan of your lter.
1. WEAR A DUST MASK AND EYE PROTECTION
WHILE CLEANING THE FILTER.
2. Turn o the dust collector and wait for the system's fan
blower to come to a complete stop.

dropped into motor inlet while taking o
b. Vacuum lter's outside before removing it to clean.
3. Remove lter from the system.
cleaned by placing it into a plastic bag lightly tapping the
lter onto the oor. Dirt and debris will fall away from
the lter. For a more thorough cleaning, continue to the
below steps.
4. Use a hand-held, compressed air nozzle with a pressure
between 30 to 60 PSI to blast air along the lter's exterior
pleating. Hold the air nozzle at a 20 degree angle and at
least 6"away from the lter; closer blasts may damage the
lter material. Direct air out and away from anyone in
the area. Do not use this method when any hazardous
material has been vacuumed up.
5. Check to make sure lter is in good condition with
no torn media or cracks or tears in the seal. A broken
lter can leak material into the motor and cause severe
damage! You cannot operate the Dust Cobra without
a proper lter in place. (See Accessories page for the
replacement lter part.) Operating without a su cient
lter will cause severe damage to the motor and will void
the warranty!
6. When you replace the lter, it is very important to
carefully install the GORE® CleanStream Pro HEPA
Filter (C) onto the ring and then slip lter retainer strap
(F18) to secure.
