Thermal overloading of the product
Damage due to improper thermal treatment
► Do not carry out any heat treatment at a temperature above 300 °C
(570 °F).
► Prior to thermal treatment, remove all temperature-critical components
(such as plastic parts).

Exposure of the product to unsuitable environmental conditions
Damage, brittleness or destruction due to improper handling
► Avoid storage in condensing ambient humidity.
► Avoid contact with abrasive substances (e.g. sand, dust).
► Do not expose the product to temperatures below -10 °C (14 °F) or
above +60 °C (140 °F) (e.g. sauna, excessive sunlight, drying on a
radiator).
5 Preparation for use
5.1 Processing
INFORMATION
The instructions for manufacturing an orthosis with unilateral joint systems
are included in the 646T5=9.1 Technical Information. The laminate struc­
ture described here is a recommendation of Ottobock and can be adjusted
to the needs of the patient.
Required materials: 17LD1N=* lamination dummy, 17LD1N=*-P

dummy cover, 17LF3N=* or 17LF31N foot stirrup, 17LS3=* lamination
bar, 636K8 Plastaband, 616G6 Dacron felt, 743Y56=4 alignment
adapter

The plaster model has been produced in the neutral zero position.
1) Mount the lamination bar on the lamination dummy with the screws.
