Outer diameter (Ø)
6.4 mm (1/4")
15.9 mm (5/8")
(a)
Depending on the applicable legislation and the maximum working pressure of the unit
(see "PS High" on the unit name plate), larger piping thickness might be required.
▪
Use polyethylene foam as insulation material:
-
with a heat transfer rate between 0.041 and 0.052 W/mK (0.035 and
0.045 kcal/mh°C)
-
with a heat resistance of at least 120°C

If the temperature is higher than 30°C and the humidity is higher than RH 80%, the
thickness of the insulation materials should be at least 20 mm to prevent
condensation on the surface of the insulation.
▪
Valve towards expansion vessel. The valve towards the expansion vessel (if
equipped) MUST be open.

NOTICE
In case of plastic pipes, make sure they are fully oxygen diffusion tight according to
DIN 4726. The diffusion of oxygen into the piping can lead to excessive corrosion.
▪
Connecting piping – Legislation. Make all piping connections in accordance with
the applicable legislation and the instructions in the "Installation" chapter,
respecting the water inlet and outlet.
▪
Connecting piping – Force. Do NOT use excessive force when connecting the
piping. Deformation of the piping can cause malfunctioning of the unit.
▪
Connecting piping – Tools. Only use appropriate tooling to handle brass, which is
a soft material. If NOT, pipes will get damaged.
