The vehicle can be unlocked and opened
from the inside using an door handle.
The anti-theft alarm is activated.
The vehicle interior monitoring system and
the anti-tow system are disabled.
"Safe" status
The flashing frequency of the diode in the
door sill immediately confirms the process.
Initially, the diode flashes in a fast sequence
for a brief period, then it stops for approxi-

flashing slowly.
WARNING

Anti-theft alarm system*

Description
The anti-theft alarm makes it more difficult to
break into the vehicle or steal it. The system

Operation
will initiate acoustic and optical warning sig-
nals when your vehicle is tried to be forced.
The anti-theft alarm is automatically turned
on when the vehicle is locked with the key.
The system is immediately activated and the
turn signal light located on the driver door will
flash along with the turn signals, indicating
that the alarm and the locking security sys-
tem (double lock) have been turned on.
If any of the doors or the bonnet are open,
they will not be included in the protection
zones of the vehicle when the alarm is con-

and the turn signals will flash accordingly
when the doors close.

opening and deactivating the alarm.
The turn signal light will flash once on clos-
ing and activating the alarm.
When does the system trigger an alarm?
The anti-theft alarm siren will be triggered for
about 30 seconds alongside a sound and
optical (flashing) warning signals and will be
repeated about ten times when the vehicle is
locked and the following unauthorised ac-
tions are attempted:
Opening a door that is mechanically un-
locked using the vehicle key without switching
on the ignition in the next 15 seconds (in cer-
tain markets, such as the Netherlands, there is
no 15 second waiting time and the alarm is
activated immediately on opening the door).
