To replace the blades
1. Lock the blade with a wooden block (A).

2. Remove the bolt (B), the washers (C) and the blade
(D).
3. Assemble the new blade with the ends that have an
angle in the direction of the cutting deck.
WARNING: Incorrect blade type can
cause objects to eject from the cutting
deck and cause serious injury. Only use
approved blades. Refer to
data on page 63 .
4. Attach the blade, the washer and the bolt. Tighten
the bolt with a torque of 125 Nm (12.75 kpm / 92
lbft).
To do a check of the oil level in the bevel gear
of the cutting deck
1. Park the product on a level surface.
2. Lower the cutting deck to float position.
3. Do a check of the oil level in the sight glass of the
bevel gear. The oil level must be near the mark in
the middle of the sight glass.
4. If the oil level is too low, fill with oil to the middle of
the sight glass. Refer to
for the correct oil.
To replace the oil in the bevel gear of the
cutting deck
1. Remove the cutting deck. Refer to
cutting deck on page 28 .
2. Remove the sight glass.

3. Drain the oil. Use a suction device with a plastic
hose. Make sure that the plastic hose gets the oil at
the bottom of the bevel gear.
To do a check of the parallelism of the cutting
deck
1. Do a check of the air pressure in the tires. Refer to
Tire pressure on page 51 .
2. Park the product on a level surface.
3. Lower the cutting deck to float position.
4. Set the adjustment lever for cutting height to the
middle position.
5. Measure the distance between the ground and the
front and rear edges of the cutting deck. The
distance is measured in 2 areas. Make sure that the
rear edge is 6–9 mm (1/4 - 3/8 in.) higher than the
front edge.
