Agitator Kit (Optional)

1. Remove knock-outs for 3/4" flangette bearings.
These are located at each end and center of seed
box assembly. Hole patterns are as shown below:

12 Ft Models - See Figure 2-19.
2. Install bearings and 1/4" thick spacer at left end of
seedbox. Secure with three 5/16-18 x 1-1/2 bolts,
lockwashers and nuts.
3. Install left end Shaft Agitator and 19 tooth sprocket:
8 ft. 3K436, 3/4 x 5-1/4" is a three hole pin.
10 ft. 1K197, 3/4 x 5-1/4" is a two hole pin.
12 ft. 1K197, 3/4 x 5-1/4" is a two hole pin.
End of shaft with the hole 3/4 inch from the end is for the
sprocket and slotted pin. Align sprocket with unused
lower sprocket already in transmission.
4. Install one of the agitators (they are all the same per
kit) on the left shaft. Secure with 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 bolt
and locknut.
5. Install one of the center shafts in the agitator from
Step 4.
6. Install the second agitator. Secure with 1/4-20 x 1-1/2
bolt and locknut.
7. Install center bearing and shaft. Secure center
bearing with three 5/16-18 x 1-1/2 bolts, lockwashers
and nuts. Secure shaft with 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 bolt and
locknut
8. Complete assembly in a similar manner for the right
hand box.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
9. Tighten locking collars in direction of rotation
(counter-clockwise when viewed from the right end of
machine).
10. Rotate agitator assembly to be sure it turns freely.
11. Install drive chain. Long ends of the connector pins
for both chains should point away from each other to
prevent interference.
12. Check chain tension bar to be sure it aligns very
closely with chain. Bend slightly if needed and install
using 3/8-16 x 1-1/4 bolts, flat washers, lockwashers
and nuts. See Figure 2-16.
13. Adjust chain tension so both strands of chain are
nearly taut.

14. Install seedbox dividers, secure with .187 x 3/16
rivets.
