CHAPTER 4 PRECAUTIONS

4.1 Event Logging During Setup of Windows® 7
The following events may be logged during setup of Windows® 7 for this product, but do not
affect system operation.

Event ID: 1008
4.2 Event Logging While Windows® 7 Is Running
The following events may be logged while Windows® 7 is running in this product, but do not
affect system operation.
Type: Error

Event ID: 10
Type: Warning
Source: Microsoft-Windows-User Profiles Service
Event ID: 1530
Type: Warning
Source: Microsoft-Windows-Search
Event ID: 3036
Also, the following event may be logged during initial startup after a USB device connection
or disconnection occurs, or when a storage device is added. Since this is also recorded
according to the Windows® 7 specification, system operation is not affected.

4.3 Precautions Regarding the Windows® 7 Command Prompt
When multiple (several hundred) command prompts are opened without restarting Windows®
7, the desktop screen may not be redrawn normally. This is because Explorer (process name:
explorer.exe) consumes drawing resources every time a command prompt is opened.
When opening command prompts frequently (such as when executing batch files repeatedly),
you have to restart Windows® 7 regularly. Also restart Windows® 7 when this phenomenon
occurs.
