APPENDIX A SETUP PROCEDURES FOR INSTALLING Windows XP Mode (FOR Windows® 7 ONLY)
(3) Windows Virtual PC installation
Perform the following procedures to install Windows Virtual PC.
1. Log on as a computer administrator if not already logged on as such.
2. Start the setup program.
• Click the [Start] button, and then choose [All Programs].
• From [Accessories], choose [Run].
• Enter the following for the "Open" field, and click the [OK] button.
C:\HITACHI\XP_Mode\Virtual-PC
• The Explorer screen is displayed. Double-click the setup program inside. Note that the setup
program differs depending on the number of bits for the operating system.
For 32-bit operating systems: Windows6.1-KB958559-x86.msu
For 64-bit operating systems: Windows6.1-KB958559-x64.msu
3. The [Windows Update Standalone Installer] window is displayed. Click the [Yes] button.
