Automation task:
Development of a modular, fully automated printing machine with scalable performance to
continue to ensure efficient production and cover a wide range of products in future.
Feature:
Modular solution, for example for winder/feed, printing mechanisms and drying. The
individual machine modules are synchronized over a virtual leading axis.
Solution:
The modular solution is based on multiple machine modules, each of which is implemented
with a SIMATIC Drive Controller and if necessary additional SINAMICS S120 CU320-2.
Cross-PLC synchronous operation on the basis of PROFINET IO with IRT is used for
synchronization of the axes.
