2.6.1
When sent to the
PC/104 card. A return without a PRP error code indicates that the Prodigy/CME PC/104 card is accessible and
processing commands.
2.6.2
Although a reset occurs automatically during power-up, it is sometimes desirable to reset the Prodigy/CME PC/104
card explicitly through a user-initiated command or action. This can be done in one of two ways. The first is via the
PRP action
the GP Connector.
After a card reset occurs the Magellan Motion Processor and the C-Motion Engine modules will be reset, and many
of the Prodigy/CME PC/104 card's output signals will be driven to known states. These are summarized in the
following table:
Signal Name
AxisOut1-4
PWMMag1A-4C
PWMSign1A-4B
DAC1A-DAC4B
DigitalOut0-7
AmpEnable1-4
DAC On/Off
Watchdog Timer
In addition, upon a card reset all card default parameters are reloaded. See Section 2.6.3, "Setting Card Defaults," on
page 50 for more information on default values.
2.6.2.1
The reset feature has an external signal input,
the GP Connector. It is pulled up through a 4.7 kOhm resistor to 5 V. In addition, all of the signals in the table above
are affected by a card reset.
2.6.3
There are a number of user-settable parameters that are saved by the card in non-volatile RAM, and that are utilized
after a power up, or after a card reset. The following table shows these parameters, and provides the initial factory
default values:
