End-to-End Self Test
T3 End to End Self Test turns on the T3-level test pattern generator and checker in the DSU. Use
of this test requires coordination with the remote site, either to establish a loopback or to activate a
test pattern generator and checker (using the same pattern) for an end-to-end test.
In this test, the following conditions occur:
•
Errors inserted are sent to the remote unit.
•
Errors counted have been sent by the remote unit.
Note
A remote telnet can not be used to set a loopback at the remote.
