DTE Alarms
DTE Tx Clock Loss
A Transmit Timing Loss alarm event occurs when the DSU stops receiving the transmit clock signal
from the network.
Tmt Data Not Transitions
This alarm event occurs when there are no transitions from mark to space or space to mark on
transmit data at the DTE port.
DTE Ready Loss
A DTE Ready Loss alarm event occurs when DTE Ready is absent.
DTE Test
A DTE Test alarm event occurs when Loop A or Loop B control leads are active on the DTE port.
Receive Data No Transitions
This alarm event occurs when there are no transitions from mark to space or space to mark on
receive data at the DTE port.
Threshold Alarms
Errored Seconds - Line
An Errored Seconds Line alarm event occurs when there is a count of one-second intervals
containing one or more BPVs, one or more EXZs, or one or more LOS defects.
Errored Seconds
An Errored Seconds alarm event occurs when there is a count of one-second intervals containing
one or more CP-bit parity errors, one or more SEF defects, or one or more AIS defects.
Severely Errored Seconds
A Severely Errored Seconds alarm event occurs when there is a count of one-second intervals
contains more than x (default is 44) CP-bit errors, one or more SEF defects, or one or more AIS
defects.
Severely Errored Frame/Alarm Indication Signal
An Severely Errored Frame/AIS alarm event occurs when there is a count of one-second intervals
containing one or more severely errored frame defects or one or more AIS defects.
Unavailable Seconds
An Unavailable Seconds alarm event occurs when a there is a count of one-second intervals for
which the DS3 path is unavailable. DS3 path becomes unavailable at the onset of 10 contiguous
severely errored seconds.
Code Violations
A Bipolar Violation (BPV) alarm event occurs when there is a count of CP-bit parity errors
occurring in the accumulation period.
Unit Alarms
Unsolicited Test
This alarm event occurs any time the DSU enters a test mode that is not commanded by an SNMP
controller. The DSU generates this alarm when it is commanded to perform a test by a control lead
in its DTE interface, an in-band loop code (Remote Test or Remote Digital Loopback).
Configuration Change
This alarm event occurs each time there a change in the configuration of the DSU.
Power Supply - Top/Bottom
This alarm event occurs when there is a failure in either the upper or lower power supply module
of the SC 2000 shelf. This alarm is not available for the SpectraComm 5000 Shelf.
