Alarm Status Definitions
The Alarms Status section of the screen displays one of three states for each alarm condition:
ACTIVE - indicates the associated alarm condition currently exists at the DSU.
INACTIVE - either that the associated alarm condition does not exist, or the Threshold
criteria for reporting that alarm have not been met.
Masked - indicates the DSU has been configured to not report the alarm condition.
Status Updates
The information displayed on the Monitor Alarm Status screen is constantly updated to the current
alarm states. As evidence of this, you will notice the cursor flickering from field to field on the
screen. When you are ready to exit the Monitor/Alarms screen, type 0 and then press Enter. It
is not necessary to wait for the cursor to land on the Select field.
