Cooking zones/areas and sensors
If the temperature of the cooking zone/area
falls below a specific value, the residual heat
symbol "H" disappears.
Automatic reduction in performance
The temperature of the electronic elements
inside the hob are constantly monitored. If the
heat increases too much, the hob is automat-
ically switched off.

Switching the hob off

• To switch the entire hob off, touch the on/
off sensor (20).
An acoustic signal will sound, and all indi-
cator lights with the exception of the resid-
ual heat symbols "H" will go out.

Safety locking mechanism

Your hob is equipped with a safety locking
mechanism, which guards against accidental
or unauthorised use of the hob.
Activating the safety lock

• Touch the safety locking mechanism sen-
sor (19).
"Lo" appears in the display of the timer
sensor (9). All sensors except the On/Off
sensor are now locked.

The hob can also be switched off while
safety locking mechanism before the next
use.
Deactivating the safety locking
mechanism
1. Ensure that the hob is switched on.
"Lo" appears in the display of the timer
sensor (9).
2. Touch the safety locking mechanism sen-
sor (19) for three seconds.
"Lo" is replaced with "– –".
Now you can use all of the sensors on the
hob again.
