6.
Dismantle the shaft with the locking lug (1) from
the steering cylinder's front fastening and cut off
the cable tie. Remove the steering cylinder.

Note how the adapter for the rear hydraulic
connection (4) is turned in relation to the
steering cylinder.

Dismantle the adapter from the steering cylinder
and fit a protective cover.
Assembling
1.
Assemble the adapter (4) onto the steering
cylinder (5). Screw down the adapter until it
bottoms.

Unscrew the adapter until it reaches the noted
position.
3.
Hold the adapter and tighten the lock nut.
Tightening torque for lock nut is 45 Nm.
4.
Reassemble the steering cylinder in the reverse
order.

Fit a new cable tie on the cable at the front shaft
locking lug.
6.
Tightening torque for screws and hydraulic
connections as instructed.
7.
Bleed the steering cylinder by starting the
engine and making repeated steering wheel
movements to full lock left and right.
8.
Check for any leakage from the steering
cylinder hydraulic connections.
9.
Lubricate the steering cylinder through the
grease nipples.
10. Check the hydraulic tank level.

Dismantling
1.
Dismantle the steering cylinder (1).
See Steering Cylinder, Changing
2.
Dismantle the circlip (2).
3.
Press out the steering cylinder joint bearing (3).
The joint bearing must be pressed towards the
circlip side.

Clean the bearing seat.
Assembling
1.
Apply a thin layer of lubricant on the walls of the
bearing seat.
2.
Press in the joint bearing from the circlip side.
Press only on the outer bearing race.
3.
Fit the circlip and check that it lies correctly in its
groove.
4.
Assemble the steering cylinder in the reverse
