The fuel system may need bleeding if
the fuel filter and fuel lines have been removed,
the fuel tank has been emptied,
the machine has not been used for a long period.
Facilitate bleeding by pumping using a hand pump.
Remove the fuel tank filler cap and check the return
fuel to the tank. When bubble free fuel flows to the
tank, the engine can be started.
Carry out full bleeding as follows:
1.
Make sure the stop valve (2) is open.
See illustration.
2.
Loosen the air screw (3) on the fuel filter (1)
at least 1/2 turn.
3.
Pump using the fuel pump's hand pump (4)
until clean fuel, without air bubbles, exits the
air screw.
4.
Tighten the air screw moderately.
5.
Rotate the engine with the starter motor for
a maximum of 15 seconds. Wait 30 seconds
before the next start attempt.
