Check progress of signals PSTB, PCLK, PDATA, PLATCHn.
Elcom s. r. o.
Steps in the case of an unsuccessful test
Repair damaged or loose cable. If the FPC cable is damaged, the display must be chan-
ged.
Check L1, L2, L3, L4, R11, joints with XC3. (E50MB.pdf, list disp-fm.schdoc) Also check given
signals on the dps display interconnect. (E50D-IC.pdf, list e50-disp-ic.schdoc)
Check whether no short has occurred between signals DISPDATA-2, DISPCLK-2. Check
progress of signals DISPDATA-2, DISPCLK-2, to connector XC2 (MB) and to the dps display
interconnect (XC2) with an oscilloscope

4.3. Printer malfunctions

Steps in the case of an unsuccessful test
If the FPC cable is damaged, the printer must be replaced. If a
cable from a sensor is damaged and can be repaired, do so and
continue with activities 2 - 5
After switching on, the cash register attempts to print out in-

of the cash register, it's probably a faulty accumulator. Replace
the accumulator with one that is fully charged.
Check the circuits of switches VH and VDD. Check whether no
short has occurred between VH, VDD and GND. (E50MB.pdf, list
print-control.schdoc)
Check circuits of the printer interface. (E50MB.pdf, list print-
-control.schdoc)
Defective circuits in printer interface. Proceed according to the
type of defect according to subsections:
