Density Calculation Function
The density calculation function shows the fish volume and signal strength distribution
for the school(s) in the specified calculation area.
5.11.1
How to use the density calculation function
Do as follows to use the density calculation function:
Note 1: The cross-section and density calculation functions cannot be used simulta-
neously. One is automatically turned off when the other is activated.
Note 2: If you activate the density calculation function when the forward detection his-
tory mode is active, the drawing of 3D echoes stops.
1. Left-click the [Density CALC ON/OFF] button to change the button label to "Den-
sity CALC ON" to activate the density calculation function.
The position adjustment display for the calculation are appears.

2. Operate the trackball to adjust the horizontal position for the calculation area.
3. Spin the scrollwheel to adjust the vertical position (depth) for the calculation area.
