12 Warranty

• Weinmann warrants that the product
will remain free from defects for a
period of six months from the date of
purchase if used in accordance with
purpose.
• A condition for claims under warranty is
presentation of a proof of purchase
showing salesperson and date of
purchase.
• We do not accept claims under
warranty if:
– the instructions for use are not followed
– there are operating errors
– the product is not used or treated
properly

– an unauthorized third party interferes
with the device for repair purposes
– there is force majeure
– transport damage is sustained due to
incorrect packing of returned goods
– normal wear and tear is sustained during
operation
– genuine replacement parts are not used.
• Weinmann accepts no liability for con-
sequential damages due to defects
unless these are due to deliberate or
gross negligence or in the case of negli-
gent injury to life or limb.

• Weinmann reserves the right to decide
whether to rectify the defect, supply a
defect-free item or reduce the purchase
price by a reasonable amount.
• If we reject a claim under warranty, we
will not bear any of the expense of
transport between customer and
manufacturer.
• Statutory claims under warranty are not
affected by these provisions.

13 Declaration of conformity

Co. KG hereby declares that the product
complies with the relevant provisions of
directive 93/42/EEC pertaining to medical
devices.
