METHODS OF OPERATION

HORIZONTAL CUTTING

1. Raise the arm until held by the support bracket.
2. Open the vice by turning the handle at the end of the base anticlockwise.
3. Clamp the workpiece securely in the vice by turning the vice handle
clockwise. (If the workpiece is long it should be supported).
4. Switch on the bandsaw and slowly lower the saw onto the workpiece.
• Let the weight of the saw provide the cutting force.
5. Set the spring tension by turning
the weight adjusting handle to set
the cutting force of the saw.
• The saw automatically shuts off at
the end of the cut when the
switch cut-off tip on the arm
touches the OFF switch. This can
be prevented from happening by
increasing the length of the stop
bolt.
6. Adjust the stop bolt if required
and tighten the locking nut to
secure.
