CHANGING SPEED

Always change the blade speed to
suit the material being cut as shown
in the chart below.
1. With the power disconnected,
loosen the drive belt adjusting bolt
in order to slacken the drive belt.
2. Open the drive guard and
change the position of the belt to
obtain the required speed.
3. Re-tension the belt so that it can
be deflected by approximately 1/2" in the centre of its span.
4. Lock the motor firmly in position.
5. Close the drive guard.

Alloy Steel
Bearing Bronzes
Mild Steel,
Hard Brass
or Bronze
Soft Brass,
Aluminium and
other light materials

CHANGING THE BLADE

If the blade becomes worn or damaged it should be replaced as follows:
1. Disconnect the bandsaw from the
power supply.
2. Raise the arm to its vertical
position and lock in place by
setting the locking bracket in the
lower notch in the saw body.
3. Undo the thumbscrew securing
the blade safety cover and open
the cover.
